About Me

I teach yoga, and I teach it the way I live: as an art and as a practice without perfectionism.

I have practiced yoga since high school, but never thought I’d become a teacher. Over 20 years, I pursued a varied career in the food industry.

Then I went on a yoga retreat in Esalen and my world expanded.

I went home, completed my 200-hour training with Janet Stone in 2024, and have been teaching ever since. Group vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, and private sessions, with a lot of people who swore they weren’t yogis.

I teach people who are brand new to yoga and people with a twenty-year practice. I always offer options in group classes and accomodate my classes to the bodies in the room. Privates are a wonderful opportunity to meet a client fully where they are, give that individualized attention and work on their specific goals.

Let me be clear: the SoCal Yoga aesthetic and body, the Instagram worthy pose- that was never the point. The mat is where we practice the things we need in life: staying when it’s uncomfortable, softening when you want to grip, noticing the moment before you react. Svadhyaya, self-study, is the practice I return to most.

How am I showing up? Where do I struggle, and where do I find ease? It’s the same questions whether you’re on the mat or trying to get your kids to school on time. My writing on Substack and my content on instagram are all extensions of my grappling with these ideas that I bring to my yoga classes every day.

This practice can be transformative for your body and your mind if you’ll let it. I’d love to show you how.
